Render farm

Your scene file is the integration. Frames split across free nodes, billed on the same GPU-hour rate card as everything else. There is no per-frame black box and no separate farm contract.

Estimate a sequence

Frames × time × node, on the public rate card

This is the same math we invoice. Priority is +35% on the GPU-hour. A reserved block is the reserved discount plus a locked window.

Farm jobs invoice the underlying GPU-hour rate, not a per-frame product. Priority is a +35% surcharge on that rate. A reserved block is the same rate with a guaranteed window. Failed tiles retry at no extra software fee. You still pay the seconds they run.
In practice

How this actually runs

The render farm is not a separate product with a per-frame mystery price. A job is GPU-hours or CPU-hours on the same rate card as everything else. You upload a scene over the console, CLI or a watched bucket. Plugins and dependencies are read from the file. Custom engines go in via Docker.

Standard queue shares the on-demand pool: best effort, no premium. Priority jumps ahead of standard on the same node types at +35% on the underlying rate. A reserved block holds nodes exclusively for a delivery window - the reserved discount plus a guarantee. Spot overflow is optional on standard only; failed tiles re-queue when a reclaim happens.

Studios usually pin priority or reserved block to L40S or RTX 4090 for raster and path-traced work, and CPU render nodes for caches and non-GPU engines. H100 / A100 show up when a show also trains or runs inference on the same account. Output writes to object storage you already use for editorial or training.

You can pull frames as they land. Thumbnails preview per tile. You do not wait for the full sequence unless you want an archive. If the date is hard, say so up front: we will tell you whether standard is fantasy and a reserved block is the only honest option. If we cannot hold the window, we say no rather than take the job and miss it.

Console, CLI or a watched bucket. Plugins and dependencies are read from the scene. Docker images cover custom renderers.

Queue

Standard shares the on-demand pool. Priority jumps the line at +35%. A reserved block holds nodes for a hard delivery date.

Deliver

Tiles preview as they complete. Pull frames as they land or wait for the archive. Output writes to object storage you already use for training.

How to read it
Priority jumps the standard queue. Weekend dip is artists off, not a capacity problem. Hover a point for the exact value. These series are illustrative of how the product behaves, not a live feed from your account.

Questions

Straight answers

No. A farm job is GPU-hours (or CPU-hours) at the public rate, plus +35% if you take priority. Reserved block is reserved discount plus a guaranteed window.
